Bradesco Expresso

How Design Sprint methodologies and clear communication helped me create a more modern and accessible user experience

About

Imagine you’re a merchant in an area with limited or non-existent banking services. How about offering these services to your customers and earning a commission on top of that?

Bradesco Expresso allows owners of various types of businesses to offer banking services in their establishments, granting the local population access to essential financial services and earning incentives for the sale of these services.

While the platform has existed since 2010, Bradesco decided to modernize the system and make it more accessible to the end-user to increase its customer base across Brazil.

Our mission was to redesign the platform from scratch, offering a new and intuitive experience, and eliminating the confusing, bureaucratic access previously handled by payment terminals.

My Role and Responsibilities

Welcome Journey Screens for the New Platform

The project began with the creation of the correspondent onboarding flow. The goal was to make this initial interaction engaging and emphasize the advantages of the new platform.

I developed the interface screens that communicated the platform’s upgrades, in addition to mapping the necessary onboarding flow for the partner

Another key focus was the financial management journeys: service and fee registration, revenue control, and payment settlements. These were Bradesco employee-facing journeys, with a special focus on data presentation and financial administration.

One of my major deliverables was a package of new financial management journeys and improvements, designed for both the correspondent and for bank employees.

These journeys were highly important because, in addition to providing a foundation for better correspondent revenue management, they also aimed to enhance the product registration and management experience.

My Creative Process

To address new demands, I apply Design Sprint techniques, facilitating quick idea sharing and rapid team sign-off. This workflow was key in preventing missed deadlines for the engineering teams.

The final design is completed in Figma, where I prepare the complete screen flow and the prototype for the development team.

The organization system I established in my design files enhances developer handoff and optimizes the workflow for the copywriting team.

Learning and Growth

My experience at Bradesco led to substantial growth. I not only developed my UX skills but also honed my ability to manage diverse demands, set clear deadlines, and streamline my creative process to ensure a smoother workflow for all dependent teams.

My time here taught me crucial team collaboration skills and how to actively seek and implement feedback. Being part of such a supportive team fueled my growth and led to new opportunities, including an invitation to help document the Bank’s Design System and, as of 2025, a role in the Security team, recommended by management.
